Where We Go
To the farthest regions of the globe, where modern medicine has never reached
CMO will serve in Kenya and Eswatini, identifying communities with no medical support. The organization serves both children and adults, bringing medical care and spiritual support to those who seek help. CMO will establish sustainable care by forging partnerships with local healthcare professionals, clinics and churches, and returning once a year to each country to assess ongoing operations.
Each country we visit is unique in its needs and beautiful in its own way. The children we meet on our travels open our hearts and make us realize what type of world is outside our own comfortable and familiar neighborhoods – beyond the literal walls we erect and those built on fear and discrimination.
We go because Jesus commanded us to go forth into the world and spread His message. We go to give hope, a smile and a cup of cold water. We always walk away from our work with an indelible imprint on our soul.
Kenya is a country of many contrasts, from its landscape to people, and more so its social and economic inequalities. Forty two percent of its population of 44 million, live below the poverty line.
Two-thirds of Swazis live in poverty, most of them in rural areas. Nearly 40 per cent are HIV-positive, giving Eswatini the highest HIV prevalence rate in the world. Nearly 125,000 Swazi children have lost at least one parent to the epidemic.
